Beginning a new chapter

Lots of planning, weeks of packing, but this was only the beginning

Embarking on a life-changing adventure is never without its challenges. The thrill of stepping into the unknown is matched only by the heart wrenching feeling of leaving behind cherished friends and family. Yet, the allure of discovering a new rhythm and grounding ourselves in the picturesque French countryside was too compelling to resist. With lots of planning and a stroke of luck, thanks to the swift sale of our Bristol home, we set off on this exhilarating journey. The prospect of transforming our lives felt both electrifying and terrifying in almost equal measure.

Unpacking in France

Excitement coursed through us as we prepared to embark on this new chapter, yet we remained acutely aware of the tasks ahead. Renovating our rental property swiftly was a priority, but we were determined to preserve within the gite the serene atmosphere, spaciousness, and deep connection with nature that the surrounding countryside offers.

Having only been in France for a few months, we acknowledge that the honeymoon phase is still in full swing. However, we have already fallen head over heels for this enchanting part of the Tarn and its simple, charming lifestyle. We eagerly anticipate the day when we can share this beautiful gite with our guests, inviting them to experience the magic of our new home.
